On Wednesday 14 September, a group of young people from Sabeel Nazareth launched a new documentary film about the village of Kufr Birim In 1948, the Palestinians living in the village were forced to leave their homes and land. Since 1948, nothing has remained in the village but the church, which was maintained by the community. Although the Israeli High Court ruled that the people could return to the village, the Israeli government has not allowed them to do so. The documentary film is an initiative of young people from the village who want to share the village’s history and learn about it by documenting their families’ stories.
