Since the ceasefire deal, only 986 aid trucks have entered Gaza despite the agreed upon 600 trucks per day. The daily average number of trucks that have entered Gaza since the ceasefire took effect does not exceed 89. In addition, the reports coming from Gaza are horrific; Hundreds of bodies were recovered under rubble, and Palestinian bodies released by Israel showed signs of torture and execution.
God of the oppressed, you dwell with those who mourn, who are persecuted with weapons, who hunger, and who suffer in prisons. We cannot fathom the extent of suffering in Gaza, but we lift up to you every soul, trusting that you see every tear and sorrow. Lord, grant us creativity, strength, and resilience to respond to the suffering in Gaza with compassionate action.
