Friends of Sabeel North America continues to host actions through its ongoing campaign “Save Jerusalem.” The campaign calls attention to the planned official annexation of Israeli settlement blocs north, east, and south of Jerusalem. This annexation will directly impact the future of nearby Palestinian villages and set a course for the full annexation of the West Bank, further leading to the forced displacement of Palestinians. The campaign is hosted on fosna.org/savejerusalem and includes fact sheets, webinar events, and concrete actions the international community can take to preserve the diversity of Jerusalem.
Almighty creator, we witness the many ways that hatred and racism seek to erase the rich diversity and social fabric of your creation. in the face of such evil, remind us that we must be steadfast in the movement of nonviolence, justice, and inclusivity. We “pray for the peace of Jerusalem” (Psalm 48:1-2) and for the transformation of hearts, that they may repent from their hatred and participate in the work of peace and justice in the Holy Land.
