On the 12th and 13th of October 2018, a number of bible study group facilitators from all around the West bank and from different churches gathered for 2 days of training, talking about strategies and skills to aid them in running a Bible study group.
On the 8th of October 2018, the Jerusalemite Christian community gathered together to reflect on the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:13-21), in continuation to the parables study series that Sabeel is conducting, once a month
On the 24th of September 2018, Sabeel’s young women’s group met at the Scottish Guest House, to talk about: Women’s needs in the society they live in. Haya Da’dess was the moderator of the meeting, and she was able, through different exercises, to thaw the ice between the women and in this way, they were able to open up.
On the 11th of September 2018, the first meeting of “the holy bible in our daily life” program for the Jerusalemite Christian community started by studying the parable of the Builders (Luke 6:16-49). It was the first parable reflected on in a parable study series that will take place on a monthly basis at the Sabeel center.
Sabeel Nazareth held a second volunteer session for autistic children on the 15th December 2018. The session was one of the most distinctive with a lot of love and tenderness.
On the 14th of December 2019 Sabeel Nazareth celebrated Christmas with an ecumenical prayer service.
Sabeel Nazareth held a Christmas workshop for
women on the 7th December 2018, the title was “The Joy of Giving”
Sabeel Nazareth ran the first Youth Christmas Volunteer session for people with special needs on 31st November 2018.
In October 2018 there was a joint event between Sabeel Nazareth and Nasijona. The film “Hala Lewin” was shown which spoke about racism in society and had a great impact, especially after the municipal elections in Nazareth
Sabeel Nazareth organized a discussion panel about the new Israeli Nation State (Basic) law which was passed in July 2018. There were good discussions about the law and its repercussions.
