Sabeel will continue to work at promoting advocacy through raising awareness, networking and activism, both locally and internationally. The Jerusalem office will continue to send the Wave of Prayer which encourages local and international friends of Sabeel to pray over regional concerns on a weekly basis, and also our quarterly English-language publication, Cornerstone, which highlights Sabeel‘s ministry both locally and internationally as well as provides theological reflections on contemporary social and political events. Future issues will deal with these topics: Administrative Detention; Forgiveness; 1 or 2 State Solution; Balfour Declaration; and Non-Violence.
International Friends of Sabeel will also be given opportunities to experience, learn and act. Twice yearly Witness Visits provide participants with the unique opportunity to experience the reality of Palestinians living under Israeli Occupation. Check the website, www.sabeel.org, for dates and information. Plans are underway for Sabeel’s 10th International Conference, to be held March 7th – 13th, 2017 and focusing on 100 Years Since the Balfour Declaration. Topics to be dealt with include Colonialism, Islam and Jesus the Liberator. Check the website, www.sabeel.org, for more information. In addition, Sabeel will work with the local and international communities to put forward intentional plans of action as responses to the daily injustices faced under Israeli Occupation.
