Sabeel, in coordination with the churches in Taybeh, recently organized a visit for 30 Christian youth from Jerusalem representing the Armenian, Orthodox, and Syrian Scout groups. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the history of Taybeh, stand in solidarity with its residents, and strengthen the connection between the youth and the land. During the visit, the group also took part in community service by cleaning the alleys of the old town and visiting elderly residents.
Holy God, we thank you for working through all participants and organizers to strengthen the communion between Jerusalem and Taybeh. Holy Spirit, we ask you to strengthen our scout groups with creativity, unity, and commitment to solidarity. Make us instruments of your love by bearing witness and showing up where it is needed.

Last week, Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir canceled a planned visit to New York following calls for his prosecution initiated by the Hind Rajab Foundation and the Center for Constitutional Rights, in addition to pressure mounted by grassroots mobilization. According to reports by several media outlets, Ben-Gvir’s decision came after HRF filed a complaint with the United States Department of Justice and, together with the Center for Constitutional Rights, submitted a letter urging New York Attorney General Letitia James to launch an investigation into Ben-Gvir’s violations of New York State law and his crimes against New York residents.
God of Justice, we put faith that you continue to work through the peacemakers and prophetic voices of our time who demand accountability and justice. Lord, remind us that there is plenty of work to be done and until truth prevails, continue to ignite in us a holy fire that struggles for justice, freedom, and peace.

The pediatrician and director of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, is reported to have been beaten daily and subjected to torture, severe food deprivation, and medical neglect. His lawyer warns that he is now in imminent danger of death. Detained for more than 18 months without charge or trial, Dr. Abu Safiya was visited by his lawyer on 2 July 2026 at the Rakefet interrogation facility, where visible signs of severe injuries across his body confirmed reports of his abuse.
God of Compassion, in the depths of our despair at injustice, we put our faith that you know every tear and every cry of Palestinian prisoners abused in prisons and will deliver them from their oppression. We pray for Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and all those who are imprisoned. Move the hearts of those in authority to treat every prisoner in accordance with human rights and have mercy on those who dehumanize and torture others, for their sin is grave. Help us to strengthen our actions in solidarity with Dr. Hussam and all political prisoners.
Lord, in your mercy… hear our prayer.
A four-month-old Palestinian boy named Ahmad has died after an Israeli military checkpoint west of Ramallah delayed access to urgent medical care.  In Qalandia, a 16-year-old boy was shot dead by Israeli forces. Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,087 Palestinians in the West Bank since October 2023.
Good God, the news coming out of the West Bank continue to terrify and sadden us. We pray for justice and healing for the families of those killed and oppressed in the West Bank. Illuminate to the world the policies, structures, and ideologies that led to the deaths of the young Palestinian children. Until there is true justice and peace, empower us to be their witnesses.
